AWS cost optimisation in India
We go through your AWS bill line by line, find what you pay for and don't use, and cut it without slowing anything down. It starts with a free audit, and nothing changes until you approve it.
The free cost audit covers
- Every service on your bill: what it costs and why
- Idle resources: unattached disks, old snapshots, unused IP addresses, forgotten servers
- Servers and databases bigger than their workload
- Where Savings Plans or Graviton would lower the price
A written report, with the saving for each item, within 5 working days. No commitment.
- Since 2006, Jaipur
- 3,500+ businesses served
- Mumbai data centre, Yotta NM1
- GST invoice in INR
Who this is for, and who should look elsewhere
This is for you if
- Your AWS bill has grown faster than your business, and nobody can explain it line by line.
- You've never bought a Savings Plan, or bought one years ago and never checked it.
- You want the bill cut without a migration or a rewrite, and you want to approve every change.
This is not for you if
- Your bill is a server or two → the savings won't pay for the work; use the checklist in our cost guide
- You want the account run day to day, not just the bill cut → AWS managed services
- You're on Azure → Azure managed services
Where the savings come from
Line-by-line bill review
Every service and every account: what it costs, why, and who set it up — including the charges nobody remembers.
Idle resources
Unattached disks, old snapshots, idle load balancers and forgotten test servers, removed with your approval. Each public IP address costs $3.65 a month, in use or not.
Right-sizing
Servers and databases that run at low CPU for weeks, moved to a smaller size, with a way back if anything slows.
Savings Plans
Steady compute covered by a one- or three-year commitment: up to 66% off with a Compute Savings Plan, up to 72% with an EC2 Instance Savings Plan.
Graviton
Graviton servers list at 40–50% less per hour than their Intel equivalents in Mumbai. We move workloads whose software runs on ARM.
Storage
Disks moved from gp2 to gp3, which costs 20% less per GB in Mumbai; snapshots on a retention policy; S3 data moved to cheaper storage classes as it ages.
Traffic and networking
A NAT gateway in Mumbai costs $0.056 an hour plus $0.056 for every GB it handles; traffic between zones is $0.01 a GB each way. Neither shows in a server's price.
Budgets and alerts
AWS Budgets alerts and Cost Anomaly Detection — both free — set up in your account, so the next surprise is caught in days, not at month end.
How it works
- 1AuditA written report on your bill: every saving we found, what it's worth a month, and what it would take. Free.
- 2ApproveYou choose which changes to make. Nothing is deleted, resized or committed without your yes.
- 3ChangeWe make the approved changes at quiet hours, one at a time, with a way back for each.
- 4CheckAfter a full billing month, we compare the bill with the one before and show you what changed.
How is AWS cost optimisation priced?
The audit is free. If you want us to make the changes, we quote a fixed fee for the work before we start. Your AWS usage stays billed by AWS in rupees, as it is today.
How much can a managed service save on AWS?What moves the fee
- The size of the billHow many accounts, regions and services there are to go through.
- Report, or report and changesThe audit is free. Making the changes is work we quote before we start.
- Architecture workMoving to Graviton, containers or a different database design is a project, quoted separately.

No percentage before we've seen your bill
- We don't promise a saving before the audit. A percentage quoted without seeing your bill is a guess; ours comes from your own bill, item by item.
- We work through an access role you create in your account and can switch off at any time; we never hold your root login.
- Nothing changes without your approval, and every change we make is recorded in your account's CloudTrail log.
- Savings Plans and reservations are one- or three-year commitments, so they're your decision: we show you what you'd pay with and without one before you buy.
Priced for Mumbai, billed in rupees
Most Indian accounts run in AWS's Mumbai region, with Hyderabad as the second Indian region. Prices differ by region, so we work from your region's price list, not US prices. AWS India invoices your usage in rupees with 18% GST; our fee comes on our own GST invoice. Support is in English and Hindi, in IST.
Questions people ask
How can I reduce my AWS bill quickly?
In this order: delete what nobody uses (unattached disks, old snapshots, idle load balancers, forgotten test servers); right-size servers that sit at low CPU; switch development servers off at night and at weekends; then cover the steady part of your usage with a Savings Plan. The first three need no commitment.
How much can I save on AWS?
It depends on how much waste your account has, and nobody can tell you before seeing the bill. What AWS publishes: Savings Plans cut compute prices by up to 66–72% for a one- or three-year commitment, and Graviton servers list at 40–50% less than Intel ones in Mumbai. The audit tells you what applies to your account.
What is a free AWS cost audit?
A line-by-line review of your AWS bill, done through read access you grant and can remove. You get a written report of every saving we find, what each is worth a month, and what it would take — with no commitment to act on it.
Savings Plans or Reserved Instances?
For servers, Savings Plans. A Compute Savings Plan covers EC2, Fargate and Lambda across instance families and regions, at up to 66% off; an EC2 Instance Savings Plan gives up to 72% within one instance family and region. For databases, AWS added Database Savings Plans in December 2025: one-year, up to 20% off provisioned instances such as RDS, and not combinable with Reserved Instances on the same database. Commit only to the usage you're sure of.
What is FinOps?
The FinOps Foundation calls it "an operational framework and cultural practice which maximizes the business value of technology". In practice: engineering, finance and management share responsibility for cloud spend, and decisions weigh cost alongside speed and reliability. For most Indian SMEs it starts with a monthly bill review and budget alerts, which is where we start too.
Should we use Spot Instances?
For the right work. Spot Instances cost up to 90% less than On-Demand, but AWS can take them back with a two-minute warning. They suit batch jobs, build servers and workers that can stop and restart — not your database or your only web server.
Will cutting costs slow my site down?
It shouldn't. We right-size from weeks of usage data, not a snapshot, change one thing at a time at quiet hours, and keep a way back for each change. If anything slows, we undo it.
Would we save by leaving AWS?
Sometimes. A steady workload that runs all day at the same size can cost less on a managed dedicated server at a fixed monthly price. AWS earns its price when you use what it does well: scaling up and down, managed databases, many services. The audit says which case you're in.
Can you optimise an account you don't manage?
Yes. The audit and the changes stand on their own; running the account day to day is a separate service, AWS managed services, if you want it.
Can I pay AWS in rupees with a GST invoice?
Yes. If your account has an Indian address, your contract is with AWS India, which invoices in rupees at the exchange rate on the invoice date and adds 18% GST. Your AWS usage stays billed by AWS in rupees.
