Moving to Rediffmail, or away from it
Coming from cPanel email, free Gmail or another host? We copy your old mail into Rediffmail and switch your MX records at a quiet hour. Outgrowing Rediffmail? We move you to Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 the same way. For a team of 10, either takes 2–3 working days.

Where your mail is stored
In India. Rediff states that all Rediffmail Enterprise data resides in India and lists data localisation on every plan, and it lists SOC 2 Type II and ISO/IEC 27001, 27701 and 27018 certifications for its business email. For the DPDP Act, and for clients who ask where their mail is kept, it's the simplest answer at the lowest price.

Questions people ask
How much does Rediffmail Pro cost?
₹270/user/year with 1 GB of storage, or ₹510/user/year with 10 GB, excluding 18% GST — Rediff's list price, which is what we charge. The Advanced plan, with a custom login page and branding, is quoted on request.
Is Rediffmail Pro billed monthly?
No. Rediffmail is sold by the year, per user, from a single user. Rediff sometimes shows a monthly figure, but it is the yearly price divided by 12 — you still pay for the year.
Do I get a GST invoice?
Yes. We invoice you in rupees with 18% GST shown separately, under GSTIN 08AGZPC8732G1ZX, so a GST-registered business can claim input tax credit. Rediffmail appears on the same invoice as anything else you buy from us.
Does Rediffmail include an AI assistant?
No. Rediffmail's business plans don't include an AI assistant like Gemini or Copilot; Rediff uses machine learning in its anti-phishing filter. If AI inside your email matters, look at Google Workspace.
Is 1 GB of email storage enough?
For a mailbox that mostly receives text and is cleared out now and then — dispatch@, a site supervisor — yes. Anyone who keeps attachments for years should take the 10 GB plan, or Google Workspace or Microsoft 365, which start at 20 GB and 100 GB. Which business email plan?
Can staff use Outlook or their phones with Rediffmail?
Yes. Rediffmail works in the browser, in Rediff's own mobile app, and in Outlook or any phone mail app over IMAP. We confirm how much older mail syncs to Outlook on your plan before setup. Support
Can some staff use Rediffmail and others Google Workspace or Microsoft 365?
Yes — Rediff supports hybrid setups, so everyone keeps an address on the same domain: managers on Workspace or Microsoft 365, everyone else on Rediffmail. We set up the mail routing between them.
How long does it take to move from Rediffmail to Google Workspace or Microsoft 365?
For a team of 10, 2–3 working days, with no downtime: we copy the old mail while you keep working, switch the MX records at a quiet hour, then copy anything that arrived in between. How migration works
