Terms of service

This page applies from the date above.

In short

  • These terms apply to every service you buy from us, together with your quote or order, our support page and our privacy policy.
  • Prices are as published or quoted, exclusive of GST, and renew at the same price.
  • You're responsible for what you host, store or send using our services. Unlawful content and abuse lead to removal and suspension.
  • Complaints about content on services we host go to our Grievance Officer, who acknowledges them within 24 hours.

1.Who we are and what these terms cover

Chandnas IT Consultants, 354 Vardhman Nagar-A, Ajmer Road, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302019, GSTIN 08AGZPC8732G1ZX ("Chandnas", "we"). "You" means the customer named on the order.

The agreement between us is these terms, your quote or order, the support page and the privacy policy. If your quote says something different from these terms, the quote applies.

2.Your account

  • Give us accurate details, and tell us when they change.
  • For server and cloud services, Indian law requires us to validate your name, address and contact numbers and to record the purpose of the service; we'll ask for documents to do that.
  • Keep your passwords and access keys safe. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
  • We send you emails about your account, changes to it, new service features and tips on using your services, and may contact you by SMS, WhatsApp, RCS message or voice call about your services, as our privacy policy explains.

3.Prices, payment and renewal

  • Prices are those published on this website or in your quote, exclusive of 18% GST. We issue a GST invoice; give us your GSTIN so you can claim the input tax credit.
  • Billing is monthly, quarterly or yearly, in advance. We accept UPI, bank transfer or card (card payments carry a 5% charge plus GST).
  • Services renew at the same price unless we give you notice of a change at least 30 days before the renewal date.
  • Servers priced in US dollars or euros: You're invoiced in rupees at the exchange rate on the invoice date, plus 5% for currency conversion.
  • If an invoice is overdue: we remind you, and from the expiry date we may suspend the service, with notice.
  • Email licences and other third-party services follow the vendor's own commitment rules; for example, annual licences can't be reduced mid-term. See the refund and cancellation policy.

4.What you may not host or send

You must not host, display, upload, change, publish, transmit, store, update or share anything, using our services, that:

  • belongs to someone else and that you have no right to use
  • is obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another person's privacy (including bodily privacy), insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, relating to or encouraging money laundering or gambling, or promoting enmity between groups on the grounds of religion or caste with the intent to incite violence
  • is harmful to children
  • infringes a patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary right
  • knowingly deceives or misleads about where a message came from, or knowingly and intentionally communicates misinformation or information that is patently false or untrue
  • impersonates another person
  • threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with other countries or public order, incites an offence, prevents the investigation of an offence, or insults another nation
  • contains software viruses or any other code designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functioning of any computer resource
  • is an online game that isn't verified as a permissible online game, or advertises one
  • violates any law in force

5.Abuse of the network

You must also not use our services to send unsolicited bulk email, to attack, probe or scan other networks, to run open mail relays or proxies, or in any way that puts our network, our other customers or the internet at risk.

6.What happens if these terms are broken

If you break these terms or the law, we may remove or disable the content, and suspend or end your access to the service. You may also be liable to penalties under the law that applies, and where the law requires it we report offences to the authorities.

We act on court orders and lawful notices from the government within the times the law sets. We keep removed content and the related account records for at least 180 days, and longer where the law or an order requires. Where we can, we tell you before suspending a service; the law, an order or an emergency may not allow it.

We remind customers of these rules at least once every three months, as the law requires.

7.Your data and backups

Data you store with us is yours. We access it only to provide a service you've asked for, to keep our systems secure, or when the law requires it.

Managed plans include backups as described on each plan's page. On self-managed services, backups are your responsibility unless you add cloud backup. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.

When a service ends, your data stays available to you for 30 days, and is then deleted — except records the law requires us to keep.

8.Service levels and support

Our response times, support hours and escalation path are on the support page. Scheduled maintenance is announced in advance where it affects your service.

9.Services from other companies

Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, Rediffmail, AWS, Azure and other vendors' services are provided under their own terms, which you accept when you use them. We set them up and support them, but we can't change their terms or control their outages; when one happens, we work around it where your setup allows.

10.Liability

Our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid for the affected service in the three months before the claim arose. We aren't liable for indirect losses, such as lost profits or lost data, except where the law doesn't allow this limit.

11.Ending a service

You can end a service by telling us in writing at least 30 days before the end of the current billing period. We can end a service with the same notice, or at once for a serious breach of these terms. How to cancel, and when we refund, is in our refund and cancellation policy.

12.Grievance Officer and complaints

Complaints about content on a service we host, or about these terms, go to our Grievance Officer: Manoj Kumar Chandna — grievance@chandnas.com, +91 74120 00999.

We acknowledge a complaint within 24 hours and resolve it within 7 days. A request to remove content of the kinds listed in section 4 is resolved within 36 hours, except a complaint that content belongs to someone else, infringes intellectual property or breaks another law, which is resolved within the 7 days; for copyright, see our copyright policy. A complaint about content that exposes someone's private areas, shows them in sexual acts or impersonates them is resolved within 2 hours.

If you're not satisfied with the Grievance Officer's decision, you can appeal to the Grievance Appellate Committee within 30 days.

13.Law and courts

These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Jaipur, Rajasthan, India have jurisdiction.

14.Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we update the date at the top and tell customers about significant changes in advance. We also remind customers of these terms at least once a year.
