Privacy policy
This page applies from the date above.
In short
- We collect what you send us — by the enquiry form, WhatsApp, phone or email — and what we need to set up, bill and support the services you buy.
- We use it to answer you, provide those services, invoice you and meet our legal duties. We don't sell it or use it for advertising.
- Indian law makes hosting providers keep records about server and cloud customers for five years after an account closes. Enquiries that don't become orders are deleted after 12 months.
- Questions and complaints go to our Grievance Officer — details in section 9.
1.Who we are
Chandnas IT Consultants, 354 Vardhman Nagar-A, Ajmer Road, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302019, GSTIN 08AGZPC8732G1ZX ("Chandnas", "we").
This policy covers personal data we collect through chandnas.com, WhatsApp, phone and email, and in providing our services. It sits alongside our terms of service.
2.What we collect
Data you store on servers or in mailboxes we run for you is yours. We access it only to provide a service you've asked for, or when the law requires us to.
- Enquiries: your name, business name, phone number, email address, and what you tell us about your needs.
- Customer accounts: billing name and address, GSTIN, and the names, phone numbers and email addresses of your contact people.
- Server and cloud accounts: the records Indian law requires hosting providers to keep — validated names, addresses and contact numbers, ownership pattern, the purpose and period of hire, the IP addresses allotted, and the email address, IP address and time at sign-up.
- Support: your messages, notes of calls, and the details of requests you raise.
- Our website: server logs of requests — IP address, page requested and time — kept for security. The site uses no advertising cookies or trackers.
3.Why we use it
We don't sell personal data, and we don't use it for advertising.
- To reply to enquiries and prepare quotes
- To set up, move, run and support the services you buy
- To invoice you and keep accounts, as tax law requires
- To keep our systems and yours secure, and to prevent abuse
- To meet legal duties, such as keeping records for CERT-In and acting on lawful orders
- To tell you about changes to your services, our terms and this policy
5.How long we keep it
When we no longer need data and no law requires us to keep it, we delete it.
- Enquiries that don't become orders: 12 months
- Customer and billing records: as long as you're a customer, and then for as long as tax law requires
- Records about server and cloud accounts: five years after the account closes, as CERT-In's directions require
- Logs of our systems: at least 180 days, kept in India
- Content removed on a lawful order, and account details after an account closes: at least 180 days, as the IT Rules require
6.How we protect it
Access to personal data is limited to the people who need it for their work. Our own systems use multi-factor sign-in and encrypted connections, and we follow documented security practices that we review each year.
No system is perfectly secure. If something goes wrong, section 8 sets out what we do.
7.Your choices and rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it — unless a law requires us to keep it. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it as easily as you gave it.
Send requests to the Grievance Officer in section 9, with your name, business name and the phone number or email address you use with us, so we can find your records. We reply within 30 days, and always within 90 days.
If you aren't satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
8.If something goes wrong
If personal data is exposed, we tell the people affected without delay: what happened, what it may mean for them, what we're doing about it, what they can do, and whom to contact. We report incidents to CERT-In within six hours where its directions require, and to the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
9.Grievance Officer and contact
Grievance Officer: Manoj Kumar Chandna — grievance@chandnas.com, +91 74120 00999.
We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and resolve them within 7 days. Postal address: 354 Vardhman Nagar-A, Ajmer Road, Jaipur, Rajasthan 302019. Other ways to reach us: contact.
10.Messages we send you
You can ask us at any time to stop messages that aren't about your account. Messages needed to run your services continue while you're a customer.
- About your account and services: we email registered customers about changes to their account, new features in the services they use, and tips on using them. These messages are part of the service.
- By SMS, WhatsApp, RCS and voice call: we also contact customers through these channels, using our own messaging services, about their account and services.
- Offers and new services: we send these only to people who have agreed to receive them, every message says how to stop them, and we respect the Do Not Disturb choices you've registered with your telecom operator.
11.Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we update the date at the top, and we tell customers about significant changes by email or WhatsApp.
